An others-focused approach to life is what believers practice for the benefit of one another. God has uniquely gifted every Christian with abilities, experiences, and passions that are meant to build up the body of Christ and serve our neighbors. The needs of our church, school, and community create opportunities for each of us to use our God-given gifts in meaningful ways.

At Trinity Lutheran, we seek to walk alongside one another with Christ-like love and compassion, serving together as members of God’s family. As we serve, we reflect the love of Jesus, strengthen our relationships, and help build God’s kingdom within our congregation, school, and community.

How does this spiritual habit make me a healthy disciple?
Regular, sacrificial service reminds us that Jesus first served us by giving his life for our salvation. As we use our time, talents, and abilities to serve others, the Holy Spirit helps us grow in humility, gratitude, compassion, and Christlike love. Serving shifts our focus from ourselves to the needs of others and allows us to participate in God’s work in the world.

How does Trinity support my growth in this spiritual habit?
Trinity provides many opportunities to serve. Members can participate in worship ministries such as greeting, ushering, music, technology, livestream, altar guild, and hospitality. There are opportunities to serve through Christian education, youth ministry, fellowship events, outreach efforts, care ministries, volunteer teams, and school activities. Members can use their gifts through committees, ministry teams, special events, service projects, and community outreach opportunities. Together, we encourage one another to serve joyfully as we believe, belong, blossom, and build God’s kingdom.
