Pastor Jason Zahn

Executive Pastor (Vision, Leadership, Administration, Stewardship)

Pastor Zahn serves as Trinity’s Executive Pastor. Raised in Watertown, Wisconsin, he has been an ordained pastor for 22 years, serving at churches in South Carolina and Florida before returning to Wisconsin. He and his wife, Jessie, have two children: son, Micah and daughter, Susannah. In addition to his pastoral duties at Trinity, Pastor Zahn enjoys golfing and fishing. He also serves as a life/pastoral coach to a dozen WELS pastors, helping them hone in on their strengths and develop their God-given gifts.

Pastor Phil Gurgel

Associate Pastor and Hispanic Outreach

Pastor Gurgel serves Trinity as both an Associate Pastor and as the Hispanic Outreach Pastor. Previously, he had served as a student pastor in Mexico and Florida, and as an ordained pastor in Florida and Delaware. He and his wife Christa live in Waukesha with their sons, Theophilus & Amadeus. He is happy to serve you and help you mature in your Christian faith.

Pastor John Koester

Associate Pastor, Outreach & Discipleship

Pastor Koester serves as the outreach and discipleship pastor at Trinity. The son of a pastor, he spent his childhood in Montana, Minnesota and Wisconsin. During his 17 years of ministry, he served congregations in Texas and Nebraska before arriving at Trinity in 2023. He and his wife, Liz, have three children, Amelia, Jack, and Aaron, and enjoy camping and hiking as a family. When not in the office, you might find Pastor Koester running the streets and trails of Waukesha or posting mediocre scores on the golf course. He is excited to live in Waukesha and serve Trinity and this community with the gospel.
