Spring 2024 Update

For well over a century Trinity has been providing Christian education for youth on our campus on White Rock Avenue in the heart of Waukesha.

For 136 years, our school has taught children the truth about our Savior God and his saving grace, educating young minds about the wonders of our Triune God, his wondrous creation, and his wonderful plans for each of them.

In the summer of 2024, God-willing, we’re looking forward to adding something brand new to our campus, something that will also enhance the educational experience our school offers.

Imagine children laughing and learning as they run and play with lush green grass beneath their feet in a vibrant greenspace play area right here on Trinity’s campus!

Why are we adding a greenspace play area to our campus?

We believe our greenspace play area will benefit our students in many ways, especially with promoting physical health and well-being. Children need opportunities to run, jump, and play freely in a safe and welcoming environment. By adding this greenspace play area to the play space available on our parking lot, we will provide additional opportunities for physical activity and healthy development, helping our students thrive both physically and emotionally.

Our greenspace play area will be more than just a space for recreation too. It will also be a gathering space where relationships are formed, memories are made, and bonds with Christian friends are formed and strengthened. Our greenspace play area will serve as a hub for school events, church picnics, and outdoor celebrations, fostering a sense of belonging and connection among students, parents, staff, and congregational members as well as drawing more people from our community to consider Trinity Lutheran Church and School.

Along with the addition of this greenspace play area, we’ll also be redesigning the retention wall that supports the White Rock Avenue parking lot, optimizing the drainage for that parking lot as well as routing the roof drainage from our building under the Baxter Street parking lot. Both parking lots will be freshly paved. We’re also planning improved lighting to enhance safety and improve security.

To learn more about this exciting project,

  • Take a look at the picture boards in the narthex.

  • Plan to attend Trinity’s Open Forum on Sunday, April 14, from 9:15-10:15, which will include a presentation with further details about the project

  • mark your calendar for a special groundbreaking ceremony that’s being planned for Sunday, June 2

It’s exciting to envision how this greenspace play area and other improvements to our campus will bless the ministry of Trinity! Pray that God will use these efforts to inspire, educate, and uplift students, church members, and the Waukesha community for generations to come!

Fall 2023 Update

Over the past several months, you’ve likely noticed some changes around Trinity.

A lot of effort has been put in by volunteers and staff to make some large and small updates across the campus in an effort to Restore the Glory to God’s house.

Money for all of this work came from your Restore the Glory offerings, as well as funds raised via the Trinity Night Out Gala and Raise Right programs spearheaded by the volunteers of Trinity Lutheran School’s hardworking Parent Team and Boosters.

Parent Team funds and some donations from individual families were used to paint all the hallways at school, add new furniture to the school rotunda with a new light, install new mats under all drinking fountains, install new metal face plates throughout school, paint boot racks and the tile behind the school’s upper hallway drinking fountain, remodel a school trash can, along with all new cork strips resulting in updated and sparkling fresh hallways!

In addition to covering the monthly mortgage payments, offerings given to the Restore the Glory initiative were used this summer to purchase and install new windows in the 7th & 8th grade classrooms and principal’s office, as well as cover the fellowship hall and lower level hallway from the elevators to the restrooms with a fresh coat of paint.

Next up on the projects list for the Restore the Glory initiative:

  • Replacing both unit ventilators in the 3K Classroom

  • Installing a new unit ventilator in the Teacher Workroom

  • Replacing the backup boiler for the church

  • A makeover of the White Rock Avenue parking lot, including a redesign of the retaining wall and resurfacing the lower park lot

  • And also tuckpointing repairs to the brickwork of the entire building

It’s exciting to see the many improvements happening through the Restore the Glory initiative. Thank you for continued prayers and generous support as we work together to Restore the Glory of this campus dedicated to sharing the most glorious thing of all: the good news of Jesus, the Son of God who came as Savior for all! To our Savior God, be all the glory!
